Case Details
This client had a serious gambling addiction and found himself in trouble. As a result she stole nearly thirty thousand dollars from his employer and then planned to stage a break in to cover it up. Ultimately she didn’t follow through with the break in and turned herself into police.
Typically theft from one’s employer (breach of trust theft) is the kind of case where the person almost always has a serious look at going to jail even without a prior record.
In the present case after extenstive negotiations, Mr. Anber was able to work out a conditional sentence (house arrest) followed by two years of probation where he would have to seek counselling and pay back $200.00 per month.
